Geant 4 – DEPFET Test Beam Simulation Studies

Abstract. This paper deals with the detailed simulation studies of DEPFET detector position resolution, that has been intensely measured in 2006 at both DESY and CERN test beam facilities. As the multiple scattering has a strong effect on obtained results, a detailed simulation has had to be used to optimize the final geometry configuration. Moreover the final resolution of a system of telescopes and DUT (Device Under Test) can be extracted only from the comparison of real data and the simulations. For this purpose a Geant 4 based full Monte Carlo simulation has been developed and the results obtained are presented here.
